They are wonderful instructors. I have trained with them for 4 years, and I love them. Couldn’t ask for better instructors.

Master Joseph has 20+ years of experience in Taekwondo, and his long years of training not only shows in his kicks (태) and punches (권), but also his way of life (도). More than his awards at USAT Illinois State Championship and numerous first places at the U.S. Open Taekwondo Hanmadang Championship, he is thankful and proud of his life of justice and righteousness. Daily, he strives to live a life of righteousness and continues to encourage others in his life to do so. Not surprisingly, his favorite superhero is Captain America.

Master Tiera-2.jpg

Similar to Master Tiera, Master Maya (4th degree black belt) has trained under Grand Master Lim for a decade. Master Maya says that even though she’s been taught by many Masters and Grand Masters, no one has taught her like Grand Master Lim. Having recently become a Master, she is a relatable role model for many students. Many say that her gentle yet precise teaching methods are very helpful.

Master Tiera started as a white belt under Grand Master Lim in the early 2000s, and she has recently become a Master after obtaining her 4th degree black belt. She has competed and placed at many tournaments such as USAT Illinois State Taekwondo Championship and U.S. Open Taekwondo Hanmadang Championship. She is an older sister figure to many students as her warm heart draws them to herself and helps them grow.
